FOR SALE:

A small number of purebred Golden Guernsey kids are usually available for sale each year. Adults are never sold. We reserve the right as to who our kids are sold to. Remember, the goat is a herd animal and will not be happy living on its own, be prepared to keep at least two as companions for each other. Previous experience of goatkeeping is preferred and/or a genuine desire to find out about the correct needs of Golden Guernseys, and goatkeeping in general, prior to taking animals on. Joining the Golden Guernsey Goat Society will be found very useful (see LINKS section). A caring, long term and responsible home being the priority.

Kids are now mostly reared on their dams, running out on pasture with the herd during the summer days, housed at night, and go to their new homes in the Autumn. On leaving us they will have been disbudded (i.e.had their horns removed by our vet), had their initial vaccinations, been wormed, had some lead training, been regularly handled, introduced to and eating hard food, earmarked to conform with DEFRA current regulations and registered with the British Goat Society in the Golden Guernsey Section of the Herd Book. A full pedigree will be supplied with each kid.
